Today June 03rd marks another milestone for the Belize Marketing and Development Corporation (BMDC). The corporation believes that agricultural education is key to our country’s growth.

It is with this ideology that our corporation teamed up with the Belize High School of Agriculture (BHSA) in the Orange Walk District, to launch this educational facility’s Tilapia Program. Along with the valuable assistance of the Aquaculture Unit of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Enterprise, 3 tilapia ponds were assembled to engage in this tilapia program. 

Under this program, training will be imparted to the teachers that will oversee it so that they in turn can impart this knowledge to their students. The new school year will see this project to its full completion… Exciting times ahead for this flourishing institution.
